How to use
Insert Loox Reviews and set
Shop Domainto your Shopify shop (e.g.your-store.myshopify.com). Inserting the component from the Butter plugin with a store connected fills this in for you automatically.Pick the

Configuring the sidebar and popup
The sidebar widget has its own set of controls: Sidebar Position (left or right), Button Text, Button BG Color and Button Text Color for the trigger button, Hide on Mobile, and Display on Home Page / Display on Other Pages to control where it's allowed to appear.
The popup widget has no design of its own — its copy, timing, and trigger rules are all configured in your Loox admin, not here. Placing an instance just tells Loox's script "the popup is active on this page" and passes along Display on Home Page / Display on Other Pages so Loox knows where it's allowed to show. It renders nothing (no layout footprint), but it has to be present on a page for the popup to work there — without an instance, Loox never activates its popup for that page, whatever your Loox-side settings say.
Setup requirements & troubleshooting
Reviews are owned by Loox, not Butter — you need an active Loox account. Shop Domain is required on Framer: Shopify's "Loox Core Script" theme app embed doesn't apply here the way it would on a Shopify-hosted theme.
Loox blocks every non-Shopify domain from displaying its widgets by default. Allow-list your published Framer domain (and any custom domain) in your Loox admin under Settings → General → External domains — include the "www" prefix. Widgets stay blank on any domain that isn't listed there.
Limit Product Reviews to a single instance per page. If Shop Domain or (for product widgets) ⛁ Butter Data is missing, the component shows setup guidance instead of the widget on preview hosts.
