How to use

In your Judge.me Reviews app on Shopify, go to General Settings → Advanced → Platform-independent Review Widget, and click Enable platform-independent widgets.
Copy the install script Judge.me provides once that setting is on.
Insert the Judge.Me component and connect ⛁ Butter Data — required for Review Widget and Star Rating Badge, not for Total Reviews Counter.
Paste the copied script into Script Code.
Pick the Type, then toggle Pagination (Review Widget) or choose Reviews — All / Verified (Total Reviews Counter).

Live browser fetch vs. CMS sync

This component fetches reviews directly from Judge.me in the customer's browser — nothing syncs into the CMS, so what's shown is always current the moment Judge.me updates. The tradeoff is speed and customization: every visit makes a live request to Judge.me instead of reading pre-synced data, and you're working within Judge.me's own widget styling rather than a fully custom Framer design. Choosing a widget type

Staying in sync when customers switch products

You can place several Judge.me widgets on one page and they'll share a single load of Judge.me's script — no duplicate loading, no conflicts. When a customer navigates to a different product, the widget refreshes to show that product's reviews automatically.

Setup requirements & troubleshooting

Reviews are owned by Judge.me, not Butter — you need an active Judge.me account and a valid install snippet. If Script Code is missing or can't be parsed, the component shows setup guidance instead of the widget (on preview hosts).

If a widget stays blank on the live site, the usual cause is Judge.me's script being blocked or very slow to load — check the install snippet is intact and that no browser extension or consent tool is blocking Judge.me, then reload.

Customizing widget appearance

Appearance and behavior for what renders here — colors, layout, copy — are configured in Judge.me itself, not in Framer: in your Judge.me app on Shopify, go to Widgets, select the widget you're using, adjust its settings, and save. Those changes apply directly to the component here without any change on the Framer side.
