How to use

  1. Connect ⛁ Butter Data to the product's Butter Data CMS field.

  2. Set Show When (Selected / Unselected) and Type (One-time / Subscription).

  3. For subscriptions, set Match and fill in Plan Name, Plan ID, or Group Name as needed.

  4. Connect your design to Design (L) — and if it should differ per screen size, see the responsive section below.

Matching a specific plan

When Type is set to Subscription, the Match control decides how narrowly this content is targeted — it's hidden entirely when Type is One-time.

Field to fill in

Any

Any selected subscription plan, regardless of name or group.

None.

Plan Name

The plan's cadence label, e.g. "Every month."

Plan Name

Plan ID

A specific Shopify selling plan ID.

Plan ID

Group Name

The selling-plan group name, e.g. "Subscribe & Save." Matched case-insensitively against the group containing the active plan.

Group Name

Responsive designs per breakpoint

The revealed content can differ by screen size — subscription perks in full on desktop, a compact version on mobile. Set States to how many designs you need and connect them to Design (L) through Design (XS), then on each of Framer's breakpoints set Display to the tier it should use.

Constraints & gotchas

This control pairs with the Subscription Selector, which is what actually sets the selected plan — on its own, Subscription Content has nothing to read.
